LIMA, PERU — The Peruvian Bishops’ Conference (CEP) presented the official schedule for the apostolic visit of Pope Leo XIV, who will travel through Lima, Chiclayo, Cajamarca, Cusco, Pucallpa, and Callao from November 11 to 16, 2026. Under the motto “Open Our Hearts,” the pastoral journey will bring together rural communities, Amazonian indigenous peoples, youth, government leaders, and the faithful nationwide.
National coordinator for the papal visit, Monsignor Guillermo Inca Pereda, outlined the official day-by-day itinerary:

- Tuesday, November 11 (Arrival and Official Greetings):
- 5:30 p.m.: Touchdown at Air Force Base Grupo N.° 8 in Callao.
- State visit at the Government Palace with President Keiko Fujimori.
- Gathering with government officials, civil society leaders, and the diplomatic corps at the Gran Teatro Nacional.
- Wednesday, November 12 (Pastoral Workday in Lima):
- Meetings with Peruvian bishops, clergy, religious orders, seminarians, and synodal teams.
- Symposium addressing key social challenges and hopes for Peru’s future.
- Afternoon: Youth and university prayer vigil.
- Fraternal dinner with members of the Peruvian episcopate.
- Thursday, November 13 (Chiclayo):
- Massive open-air Holy Mass on the Pimentel esplanade.
- Visit to the St. Óscar Romero Chapel.
- Clergy and academic gathering at the Our Lady of Peace Sanctuary.
- Friday, November 14 (Cajamarca and Rural Devotion):
- Solemn crowning of the Virgin Mary at Chiclayo Cathedral.
- Visit to the Andean community of Santa Cruz de Succhubamba in Cajamarca to honor Peru’s rural heritage.
- Prayer service commemorating 300 years since the canonization of St. Turibius of Mogrovejo.
- Saturday, November 15 (Cusco and Pucallpa):
- Morning (Cusco): Public gathering at the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park and recitation of the Angelus prayer in Cusco’s Plaza Mayor.
- Afternoon (Pucallpa): Assembly with missionaries and indigenous Amazonian leaders; celebration of Holy Mass at the Ucayali Sports Complex before returning to Lima.
- Sunday, November 16 (Closing Services in Callao and Lima):
- Visit to the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly care home in Callao.
- 10:30 a.m.: Farewell Mass at Las Palmas Air Base in Surco prior to departure for Rome.
