Early in the morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin our journey toward Cusipata, where we’ll enjoy a buffet breakfast before continuing to the base of Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain. Accompanied by our guide, we’ll hike along the marked trail and have time to learn more about the origins of the landscape, enjoy the views, and take photographs. Finally, we’ll return to our transportation, head back to Cusipata for lunch, and continue our journey back to Cusco.

PALCOYO MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE 01 DAY

04:00 – 04:30 Pick up from your hotel to join the group and start the experience.
04:30 – 07:30 We start the trip from Cusco to the village of Cusipata. Where we enjoy the buffet breakfast in the village.
After breakfast we continue the road to the base of the mountain to begin the experience.
09:00 – 09:30 We begin the ascent by the marked path in the company of our guide.
When we reach the top we will have an explanation by our guide who will give you more information about the origin of the mountain and we will have free time to take the pictures we want.
11:30 – 13:30 At the end we return by the same way to our transport and then we return again to the town of Cusipata.
13:30 – 14:30 We will enjoy a buffet lunch in the village.
14:30 – 17:00 Return trip to Cusco city.

No, the entrance for this palcoyo mountain destination is completely regulated by the same community of Mollepata. So to buy them we must arrive at the same destination and it is recommended that you buy it with a travel agency.

Can I go without a travel agency?

Yes, you can go to palccoyo mountain on your own, however it is somewhat tedious since the food places (restaurants) do not always have space and we will have to look for an alternative option, besides that on the way there is a lot to explain and a professional guide is indispensable.

What is the distance and time covered?

This rainbow mountain palccoyo tour has an average distance of 4 km, so the time for each section is 1 hour and 30 minutes. If we can no longer continue we have the alternative of using a horse but it has an additional price that you can pay in the same place.
