The 1-Day Humantay Lake Tour is an ideal experience for travelers who want to discover one of the most impressive natural landscapes in the Andes during their visit to Cusco. This adventure will take us from the city to the town of Mollepata and then to Soraypampa, where we’ll begin our hike toward the famous lake.

The day begins early with pickup from your hotel. During the journey to Mollepata, we’ll enjoy a buffet breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa to begin our ascent. The trail will allow us to enjoy the mountain landscapes as we hike, accompanied by our guide.

Upon reaching Humantay Lake, we’ll have time to learn more about its origins, enjoy the surroundings, and take photographs. We’ll then begin our descent along the same trail to Soraypampa. Finally, we’ll return to Mollepata for a buffet lunch before beginning our journey back to Cusco.

Early in the morning, we’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin our journey toward Mollepata, where we’ll enjoy a buffet breakfast. We’ll then continue to Soraypampa to begin our hike along a marked trail accompanied by our guide. Upon reaching Humantay Lake, we’ll learn more about its origins and have free time to enjoy the scenery and take photographs. Afterward, we’ll descend along the same trail to Soraypampa, return to Mollepata for lunch, and finally continue toward Cusco.

01 DAY LAKE HUMANTAY TOUR

04:00 – 04:30 Pick up from your hotel to join the group and start the humantay lake hike.
04:30 – 07:30 We start the trip from Cusco to the village of Mollepata. Where we enjoy the buffet breakfast.
Then, we continue the trip to the town of Soraypampa to begin the experience.
08:30 – 10:00 We start the hike accompanied by our guide.
After reaching the top, you will have an explanation by our guide who will give you more information about the origin of the lake. In addition, you will have free time to take the pictures you want.
11:30 – 13:30 Return through the same road to our transportation in Soraypampa and then head again to the town of Mollepata.
13:30 – 14:30 We will enjoy our buffet lunch in the village.
14:30 – 17:00 Car ride back to Cusco city.

No, the entrance for this lake humantay peru destination is completely regulated by the same community of Mollepata. So to buy them we must arrive at the same destination and it is recommended that you buy it with a travel agency.

Can I go without a travel agency?

Yes, you can go to lake humantay on your own, however it is somewhat tedious since the food places (restaurants) do not always have space and we will have to look for an alternative option, besides that on the way there is a lot to explain and a professional guide is indispensable.

What is the distance and time covered?

This humantay lake tour has an average distance of 4 km, so the time for each section is 1 hour and 30 minutes. If we can no longer continue we have the alternative of using a horse but it has an additional price that you can pay in the same place.
