If you want to visit Machu Picchu and also enjoy a different view from above, our Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour brings both experiences together in one trip. Over two days, you’ll explore the Inca citadel and climb Huayna Picchu Mountain, one of the most striking spots in the sanctuary.

On the first day, we’ll travel from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and continue by train to Aguas Calientes, where we’ll spend the night. This break gives us time to rest and get ready for a much more active day the following day.

On the second day, we’ll start early to reach Machu Picchu. First, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the citadel, and then we’ll follow the marked trail to Huayna Picchu. From there, we’ll enjoy a different perspective of the surrounding landscape before returning to Aguas Calientes and beginning our journey back to Cusco.

The Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu 2-Day Tour is designed for travelers who want to explore the Inca citadel and complement the experience with a climb to Huayna Picchu. It’s an option that combines history, hiking, and beautiful landscapes in a two-day journey.

The experience begins in Cusco and continues to Aguas Calientes, where we’ll spend the night. The following day, we’ll visit Machu Picchu with our guide and then begin the climb along the marked trail to Huayna Picchu. After completing the hike, we’ll return to Aguas Calientes and continue our journey back to Cusco.

Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We’ll depart from Cusco by tourist transportation to Ollantaytambo and continue by train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we’ll have time to settle in and rest. In the evening, our guide will visit your hotel to provide instructions and details about the following day’s experience.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Huayna Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

We’ll start early with the bus ride up to Machu Picchu. We’ll enjoy a guided tour of the citadel and its main sites and then begin the climb to Huayna Picchu along the marked trail. After completing the hike, we’ll return to Aguas Calientes and have some free time before boarding the train to Ollantaytambo and continuing by tourist transportation to Cusco.

Machupicchu spaces are limited and permanently subject to availability, it is better to have a reservation at least 3 or 4 months in advance.
